Ronnie Ortiz-Magro from Jersey Shore has drawn a lot of anger from MTV fans who want him to be removed from the series altogether. His second arrest has raised alarm bells in the community, and many believe he is not a good role model for the network. While not the first reality TV star to end up in hot water, he is one of the first to keep his job.
It is too early to see if the network will shoot the star since, at this point, the charges against him are nothing but allegations. It has been noted that Ortiz-Magro’s past history has shown a pattern that began with his relationship with Sammi Giancola. He then had a toxic relationship with Jenn Harley which also aired on the show. Fans around the world believe his behavior went beyond what is warranted for entertainment. Currently his girlfriend, Saffire Matos, claims they are still going strong.

News broke that Ortiz-Magro had been taken into custody for a second arrest for alleged domestic violence, but this time against his current girlfriend, Saffire. Even though Matos has said that she and the reality TV star are doing fine, fans don’t agree with the Jersey guy’s attitude or the assault charges currently attached to his name. Sources reported to TMZ that Matos called the police after a physical altercation broke out between the two. Police arrived at the scene and concluded that Ortiz-Magro was the perpetrator. Saffire is also believed to have marks on his body due to the altercation.
Fans have started a petition on Change.org called “The late Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. “The petition was created by”Victims’ lawyers“And has already collected nearly 600 signatures. The paperwork also called MTV for exploiting the problems of the reality stars of “abuse for funAnd goes on to reveal that viewers cannot “stomach” the father of one. The petition states that Ortiz-Magro has a history of violence against women and that it is not acceptable that the network still has him as a full-time member of the show.
While many Jersey Shore Fans may not have given thought to the star’s manipulation tactics when the show first aired, they are certainly at the forefront of fans’ minds now. The 35-year-old was arrested on April 22 in Los Angeles and only spoke to thank his friends for their support.
