Bon Jovi plays hits at Paramount in Asbury Park for upcoming gig
Bon Jovi brought the successes to the Asbury Park promenade.
The next stop will be drive-in parks across North America.
Bon Jovi filmed a behind-the-scenes theater concert Thursday, April 29 at the Paramount Theater on the promenade. The show will be broadcast in more than 750 drive-in parks, open-air theaters and cinemas on May 22.

A handful of fans and curious passers-by asked security guards and technicians around the building what was going on inside. A street full of production trucks on Ocean Avenue was a clue it was something big.
Still, it was oddly quiet for a concert.
“I heard singing for a hot second, then it was all drums,” said Eileen Crowley, manager of the Fun House clothing and souvenir shop inside the Grand Arcade.
This is because the concert appears to be a live tape performance, where the band members hear the music through their headphones and the producers hear it on the recording trucks instead of the amplifiers in the theater.

Jon Bon Jovi of Sayreville honed his musical talents in bands like Atlantic City Expressway, John Bongiovi and the Wild Ones, and Rest in Asbury Park nightclubs from the late 1970s. The band, whose hits include “Livin ‘on a Prayer”, “Wanted Dean or Alive”, “Bad Medicine”, “You Give Live a Bad Name”, “Runaway” and “Who Says You Can’t Go Home”, released the album ” 2020 ”critically acclaimed last year.
“It’s so nice to have Bon Jovi back in Asbury Park where the dream started in 1978 at Fast Lane,” said Peter Mantas, longtime friend and former manager of Bon Jovi. “And still going strong 43 years later.”
